Where To Find The Best childrens Entertainers

Thinking back to my childhood, I remember many of the children’s entertainers that I loved to watch on television. Perhaps I was a little odd, but I preferred to watch Dr. Who more so than Sesame Street. I watched the latter, but I preferred the first one. My little brother liked the show too. My youngest brother never watched television made for kids, as he preferred to watch movies. Every child is different, and that is why it is so wonderful that there is so much out there now for children to watch when their parents need some time for chores, or even a few moments to read a book, or catch their breath.

Before you expose your kids to any children’s entertainers, you have to decide what you like. There are many shows, and many children choose their own, but it is up to you what you want to expose them to. Some shows have more value than others, and some are just unwatchable. You have to watch the same children’s entertainers that they choose, so it makes sense that you want to narrow the list down to something you like, or at least something you can bear when allowing them to watch something.

I have my favorite children’s entertainers, and I have ones I do not allow her to watch. It’s my prerogative and I choose to choose, so to speak. I have never liked Barney, and I never allowed her to watch it. She watched it at someone else’s home, but thankfully she didn’t seem too interested either. I also don’t like the Doodlebops, and that is because I sense a high degree of insincerity. I don’t think the people behind the costumes are bad by any means, but I think this is just a gig to them. Perhaps nothing can compare to what I see in the Wiggles. They are more real and sincere than any other of the children’s entertainers as far as I am concerned.

Many parents barely tolerate any of the children’s entertainers out there, and that is to be expected. Children love a hooky melody and repetition, and that can sometimes drive adults to insanity. That’s to be expected, but remember that even if you find yourself singing, “fruit salad, yummy, yummy,” six hundred times in your head, that there are worse things out there. Good children’s entertainers know what they are doing, and they know how to reach your child on level that only that child can understand. You may think you are going crazy, but remember that they are learning.
